Movie Review - Om Shanti (1.5/5)

Story:
Story of 5 lives: Kajal w/ Madhavan, Navdeep w/ Aditi Sharma, Nikhil, Bindu Madhavi w/ family, and Murali Mohan w/ family.

(1) Kajal is college student who seeks thrills in everything. Madhavan is a radio jockey helps her with her thrills and also, helps her recognize her true inner self. Eventually, they end up dating.

(2) Navdeep and Aditi Sharma meet each other in plans to have an arranged marriage. With some job and other problems, they come till printing wedding cards. In addition to this couple, Sunil provides some comedy.

(3) Nikhil wants to be the NRT = Next Ravi Teja. After many trials and being cheated, he gets a role as a side hero.

(4) Bindu Madhavi is just waiting to get married with Akbar, her would-be. His brother along with other "desa drohis" tries to destroy the city.

(5) Murali Mohan dies due to pressure from his son, who wants him to sell land for money. His son loses all the money later in the movie, and after a lecture from mom, realizes his mistake and returns to farming.

All these people accidentally help save the city is the story.

Analysis:
Movie is below average. The characters were not complete. Due of many main characters, no character is good enough. Story is okay. Felt like it was slow in some places and too fast in the others. Will feel no emotion in the movie, as it is hard to get attached to any character. Comedy "relief" was provided by Kajal and Sunil stories, but it wasn't enough. This genre of movie is new for the Telugu audience; and with its poor direction, it just did not click.

Bottom Line: Watch it is you have nothing better to do. Or if you are a fan of any actor in the movie.
