Movie Review - Simha (2/5)

Story for Simha is much better than recent Balakrishna’s movies; however, it is a typical and predictable old story. What made it different are the dialogues. There are pretty good and powerful, Balayya style dialogues in the second half, like “charitra ante maadhi, charitra surstinchalanna meme, daanni tiragarayalanna meme”.

Balakrishna did a great job with his performance. The best delivery of dialogue is for “choodu, oka vaipe choodu, rendo vaipu chodalanukoku, tattukolevu, maadipottav”. On the other hand, the makeup artists should have taken more care because his age was to visible and a little unbearable. He is much better, even though artificial, in Mitrudu. His character as the professor and his behavior towards Sneha Ullal’s character was indigestible for me.

Nayantara, as predicted, didn’t suit the role well, something is missing. Someone with a little more flesh would have been better. This is especially true because of the powerful dialogues she delivered.

Namitha is a waste in the movie; however, she fitted well next to Balakrishna.

Sneha Ullal is too young for Balakrishna, and didn’t suit well next to him. Moreover, the character she played was a little irritating. Again, I couldn’t enjoy the concept for her falling for her professor.

Overall: Fans and actions lovers can watch, but not really for people in any other genre.
