Movie Review - Pravarakhyudu (2.5/5)
Story:
Sasi (Jagapathi Babu), after seeing his parents, doesn’t believe in love. He thinks people are just like animals with sexual needs, except to separate ourselves from animals, we have some customs and traditions, such as marriage. Sailaja (Priyamani) falls in love with Sasi during their college days. After realizing Sasi’s view on love and marriage, they go different ways, and Sailaja hopes to never meet Sasi again. Due to some events in life, Sasi realizes that love does exist. Sailaja is now a principal to a womens’ college; Sasi joins as a professor in the same college to win Sailaja back.
Analysis:
The movie is a little different from the regular love story drama. Entertaining throughout, except some scenes where Jagapathi Babu romanced with the heroines. Jagapathi Babu’s effort in being a “pravarakhyudu” is a little hard to digest. Moreover, his role as a professor is not dignified to a certain extinct. Priyamani's character and acting in the movie are excellent. Hamsa Nandini’s role was useless and limited, yet she managed to look glamorous in the short screen time she was given. The comedians were okay, not to impressive from them.
Bottom Line: Can watch it once or maybe a couple of times on DVD, not worth buying it though.
