Movie Review - Leader (4.5/5)

Story:
Son of a deceased CM enters politics to fulfill his fathers' last wish. The story is about how he tries to help the people, by fighting his corrupt politicians that are his own family members.

Comments Throughout the Movie

* New definition to "item song". Not vulguar at all.
* Dang the Hero is way too tall. In some shots, I was reminded of Rahul (Tyson in Happy Days).
* "2nd Heroine" is looking better than "Main Heroine".

* "2nd Heroine"'s character was a good, light relief from main story tension.
o *quotes around heroine because this is a hero oriented movie, and the heroine characters are not too significant.
* MLAs getting emotion for just a couple crores is halariously unbeliveable.
* Songs are situational, which made them better on screen.
* I didn't know that "adyaksha" is a mandatory word in Assembly. And who is the main guy leading it?

* Beautiful Dialogues
o "Ivala nijayathiga pani cheaytham ante tyagam cheyatame sir" - Amazing Dialogue
o "vallaki [prajalaki] mana [politicians] meeda aasa ledu, manaki valla meeda hakku ledu" - wow
o "meeko 70 80 yellu vuntha, ee chethulto Gandhi garini taaki vuntharu, aa kallatho Nehru garini choosuntharu, intha telivi, intha anubhavam ivanni endhuku sir, naya paisa upayogam ledu, alanthappudu meeru vunthe entha pothe entha" - best dialogue
* Interesting how CM gives a gift to a fellow worker for her birthday.
* Second half got a little boring.
* Ending is good with CM pramana sweekaram.

Other comments:
Aside from Dollar Dreams, this is the first Shekar Kammula movie in which the heroines are not given any special attention to.

Overall: Not a typical Shekar Kammula movie nor a typical Mickey J Meyer music. A political movie, shown in a better way than before.

3.5/5 for the movie
4.5/5 for how the topic of politics is dealt in the movie (I think that Indian Politics is a sensitive topic for a movie, which is why this special rating).
