Movie Review - Kedi (Not Rated)

Story:
After getting caught, Rummy narrates his story to the Cop. The story is that: Rummy (Nag) just goes around doing bunch of robberies. In between he develops relation with this dealer named Chandra, and does some big time deals for him as well. To do one of the robbery, he hires a girl (Mamtha Mohandas) to play his wife. In return, the girl asks Rummy to let her and her son, Varun, stay with him. Later he finds out that the girl in none other than his childhood love. Rummy breaks a deal with Chandra, who kidnappes Varun and asks Rummy to set the deal right. While Rummy tries to make the deal right, he gets caught by the cops. The story narration ends here. Cop trusts Rummy and lets him go to save his son and to help catch the dealers. Rummy ends up saving Varun, catching the dealers and ends up saving the city by destroying the dealers' affiliations with other gangs.

Analysis:
Horrible. Not much to the story. Not a smooth one either.
No true romantic situations.
No good comedy, Brahmi is a waste.
Action is as usual, nothing special.
Heroine has some role in the movie, but a bad choice by Mamtha Mohandas to pick this movie.
The only gripping part is that when narrating the story, there is a small twist: While the audience think that Mamtha is Nags' wife, Nag tells us that she isn't. That was a real blow to me. Besides that, I didn't really like anything much about the movie.

Nag's choice for movies is deteriorating by the minute. His bad taste started with Boss in 2006, continued with Don in 2007, Kirshnarjuna in 2008, King in 2009 and now this Kedi in 2010. His previous ones were bearable, but Kedi is at the rock bottom. Good looks is not good enough, we need a good story. He needs to put his stardom aside and do more movies like Manmadhudu. Sticking to the genres of romance and comedy might be better than action. Well, hope he does better at least with his next movie.

Bottom Line: Don't bother watching, unless you are a hard core fan of Nagarjuna or just really really bored (even still this movie is no entertainment).
